The winner of the Miss Universe beauty pageant 2017 will be crowned on January 30, 2017.

: After launching several attacks across Europe, Islamic State seems to have diverted their attention towards Philippines. In their new propaganda video, the terror group has threatened to bomb Miss Universe beauty pageant 2017, which is scheduled to be held in Philippines.

According to a report in The Sun, a Filipino terrorist communication channel has suggested that jihadists might target the beauty pageant.

The new video also focused on ways in which a suicide belt can be made.

Although the exact location of the beauty pageant is unknown, it has been confirmed that the former Miss Universe and Filipino-German model, Pia Wurtzbach, would be present at the function to crown her successor.

The winner of the Miss Universe beauty pageant 2017 will be crowned on January 30, 2017.

Pia Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe after extraordinary scenes at the contest in December 2015.

Earlier, Colombian contestant Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo was announced as Miss Universe winner when host Steve Harvey returned to apologise. Harvey said that he made a mistake in announcing the winner’s name and that he would take responsibility for not reading the card correctly that named contestant Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach as the winner and Colombia the first runner-up.
