Members of the all-party delegation visiting Jammu and Kashmir will be given a presentation on September 3 regarding details of the visit during which they will interact with a cross-section of people in an effort to bring peace in the troubled state.

Home minister Rajnath Singh, parliamentary affa-irs minister Ananth Kum-ar, minister of state in PMO Jitendra Singh and MoS for home Kiren Rijiju are expected to be present when top officials make the presentation.

This is being done to ensure that all MPs speak in one voice and there is consensus while speaking to a cross-section of people. The prevailing ground situation in J&K, positions and views of different stake holders, individuals and groups will be conveyed to the parliamentarians. The home ministry has also appointed a nodal officer to address issues of students from J&K.

The members of the delegation will be free to meet anyone, including separatists, during the day visit. However, home minister Rajnath Singh will meet only those who are ready to resolve all issues within the framework of the Constitution.
