BSP MLA from Bijnor Mohammad Ghazi has told his voters that when the BSP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh, he will make the cops “lick my boots”.

BSP MLA from Bijnor Mohammad Ghazi has told his voters that when the BSP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh, he will make the cops “lick my boots”.

A video of the MLA’s public meeting which shows him making this statement has now gone viral on the social media.

The MLA allegedly also called up Dharmendra Singh, station officer at Sherkot police station, and abused him. A case was registered against the MLA late on Saturday night and the police raided likely locations in search of him but he could not be arrested. Eight of his supporters have been detained for questioning.

In the video, the MLA is shown saying that cops like Dharmendra Singh would kneel before the people.

Bijnor SP Umesh Srivastava said, “The MLA has abused and threatened a police officer. He said the SO would kneel before him, touch his feet and lick his boots when his party comes to power. We have taken legal advice and filed a case. We are taking this matter seriously.”

Mr Dharmendra Singh said, “The MLA abused me over the phone and threatened to get me transferred. That is why I chose to file a case against him.”

Meanwhile, the BSP MLA has now issued a statement saying that the Sherkot SO and Amit Kumar, the son of Samajwadi Party leader Moolchand Chauhan, have been running a betting racket. “They are also running a land grab scam. I have even complained to senior police officers against the SO and they are now trying to implicate me in a false case,” he said.

SP leader Moolchand Chauhan denied Ghazi’s allegations.
