Delhi BJP pre-sident Satish Upadhyay has condemned the Kejriwal government’s annual pre-Diwali lollipop politics towards contractual employees of the Delhi government.

Delhi BJP pre-sident Satish Upadhyay has condemned the Kejriwal government’s annual pre-Diwali lollipop politics towards contractual employees of the Delhi government. He has warned the Kejriwal government to stop playing with the sentiments of the contractual employees or be prepared to face the wrath of the employees.

Mr Upadhyay has said that it is strange that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy, Manish Sisodia, have shamelessly kept assuring the contractual employees and guest teachers of regularisation of services ever since they came to power.

“In this game of fooling the employees in view of the ensuing civic elections and Delhi Assembly bypolls, Mr Kejriwal and Mr Sisodia held a press conference on October 22 and offered new lollipops to the contractual employees, but their game stands exposed,” added Mr Upadhyay.

Delhi BJP president claimed that the employees have lost faith on the Kejriwal government which had made an order on October 19, 2015, offering similar lollipops to them giving exemptions in age limit and benefit of service experience for applying for regular jobs.

“Over a year has lapsed, but the Kejriwal government did nothing to start implementation on its October 19 order. No new regular jobs have been advertised or offered for the employees,” he said.

Mr Upadhyay has asked the chief minister to let the people know about the jobs offered for contractual employees after the 2015 order.
