Uzbek woman says beau raped her

A 24-year-old Uzbek woman accused her boyfriend of rape in Mahipalpur, under Vasant Kunj police station, on Saturday.

The victim alleged her boyfriend had raped her on Saturday night at a guest house. The woman, who is from Uzbekistan, met her boyfriend on Face-book and he had promised her a future with him.

The victim informed the police that she befriended the man, who is based in Delhi, on Facebook. On pretext of marriage, the victim was called by the accused to visit India. On Saturday, when the victim met the man, he took her to a guesthouse to provide her accommodation, but he raped and thrashed her there and fled from the spot.

The victim reached the nearest police station and informed the police about the rape. She was sent for the medical examination and the report is awaited.

The victim also revealed that the accused was married and she had been kept in the dark about this by him. The accused had not only raped her but also thrashed her brutally.

An FIR has been registered in the Vasant Kunj police station, but no legal action has been taken against the accused so far. The police is investigating the case for further details.

“The accused is on the run. A police team has been formed to arrest the accused. We have filed a FIR in the case under relevant sections of IPC. The case is under investigation,” said a senior police official.
