Union urban development minister Venkaiah Naidu said that in a major change in the last two years, the Centre has ended the situation of “policy paralysis”. Mr Naidu was speaking at “Vikash Parv”, organised to celebrate two years of the Modi government in East Delhi.

Taking a dig at the previous UPA government, Mr Naidu said that today the Prime Minister presides and “Team Modi” decides on public welfare initiative, unlike the days when “madam decided and PM obeyed” just to benefit Congress’s corruption.

''When we came to power, government employees used to say the Congress allowed scams from land to sky to benefit. Today same official’s says that PM Modi does not allow any corruption,” added Mr Naidu.

Highlighting the achievements of Modi government, Mr Naidu said that the Centre, under the leadership of Mr Modi, is committed to poor, labourer, women and youth. “Education, employment and entertainment forced people to migrate from rural areas to cities. Now, the Modi government stands committed to take these 3E’s to rural India. Crop insurance to Atal Pension Scheme, all unique social security schemes are taking benefits of subsidies directly to the common man through Jandhan Bank Accounts based on aadhaar cards through mobile apps,” the minister added.

Mr Naidu said that on Prime Minister’s instruction, the railways will invest Rs1.60 lakh crore in railway infrastructure and its safety augmentation, while for better urban infrastructure, the government will launch “smart and safe cities” concept on June 25.

Giving the data on the economic development the under Modi government, Union minister for state for finance Jayant Sinha said that within two years, the rate of GDP has increased by 150 per cent and going to achieve 8 per cent growth rate.
