Reacting to Arvind Kejriwal’s much-hyped interactive session with people — Talk to AK —- Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said that in the name of an interactive session the AAP chief ran a show that can only be described as Meri Baat Suno (Listen to Me).

Mr Upadhyay said that the show, instead of being a public connect programme, was simply a self-designed, self-glorification campaign by Mr Kejriwal.

He added that the Delhi government had announced that it was getting thousands of questions, but in the 90-minute programme, only five questions were taken up and even they were those which helped Mr Kejriwal speak about himself. He said that the it was apparent that the show was being run to influence the people of Punjab, Goa and Gujarat for whom the CM seemed more concerned. And all this at the cost of the Delhi exchequer.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Mr Vijender Gupta, said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has failed at governance and the people of Delhi are losing their trust in the party.

“Instead of a direct interactive session with the people of Delhi, the programme was fabricated in such a manner that Mr Kejriwal kept speaking for 48 minutes. The people of Delhi are disappointed as the chief minister resorted to blame-game politics, pointing fingers at the Central government for their failure at governance. The people of Delhi wanted to ask thousands of questions, but only those questions were entertained which served the self-interest of the AAP government.”

Mr Gupta claimed that despite spending crores to start the programme, the AAP forgot the real motive behind its launch, and hence it has ended up as fruitless, sponsored and fabricated.
