In yet another embarrassment for the JNU, a student has alleged that former All-India Student Federation (AISF) Madhya Pradesh state convenor sexually harassed her.

In yet another embarrassment for the JNU, a student has alleged that former All-India Student Federation (AISF) Madhya Pradesh state convenor sexually harassed her. She alleged of mental torture, breach of trust and financial fraud.

However, the matter was made public by the victim through social networking site on Monday, after a period of three months, when she had filed the complaint against the AISF member, Ashish Raghuwanshi.

The second sexual assault case comes a month after a 28-year-old student has accused Aisa leader Anmol Ratan of allegedly raping her in the campus.

According to the post, she was in a relationship with the accused for seven months and he had been cheating on her while using her only for physical and monetary gains.

“He deceptively took Rs 58,379 from me. Thinking that I will get justice, I immediately reported the matter on June 14 after which I had a meeting with AISF national president Syed Valiullah Khadri, Am-rita Pathak and Rahilla Parween. My demands were precise that he return my money in two weeks, removing him from his position, his suspension and a written apology,” the victim said.

When the AISF national council took no action, the victim had reported the matter to the MP state committee and secretary who then suspended Mr Raghuwanshi from the party and the Bhopal party office. “I patiently waited for two months as promised with all dignity, but Ashish kept delaying it giving excuses and the people of AISF who were dealing with this case also had a bureaucratic approach... I had been making frantic calls to the AISF leadership and Ashish since last three weeks... They don’t bother to answer or give bureaucratic reply,” the student alleged. According to the student, who herself is an AISF member, she even tried contacting Kanhiaya, but to no avail.
