Porsche Cayenne Platinum Limited Edition Launched at Rs. 1.06 Crore

Porsche has launched the limited platinum edition of the Cayenne model in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant starts at a price of Rs. 1,06,68,000 and the diesel variant is priced at Rs. 1,08,86,000 (ex-showroom prices, Maharashtra).

This limited edition is not only cosmetic but also feature-rich. There are a couple of obvious enhancements as well, as the large 20-inch wheels that take after the RS Spyder. The wheel arches are also widened for a bold and prominent appeal, though still painted in the body color. As far as the interiors are concerned, the Platinum Edition badge in stainless steel, on the door sill, looks classic.

Besides these design enhancements, feature enhancements are a plenty in the limited platinum edition with many standard features offered. The Bi-xenon headlights with PDLS (Porsche Dynamic Light System), front and rear park assist, power steering, etc. and the additional rear view and exterior mirrors with automatic anti-glare feature are all standard equipment.

The adaptive air suspension uses the unique Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) technology. The 4-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and electrical sun blinds for side passenger windows are technology useful to perform heat control, through electrical and mechanical means.

The leather seats with eight-way electrical adjustment offer better creature comfort. Also get informed and entertained with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, Siri Voice, BOSE Surround Sound Audio System, Apple CarPlay and Connect Plus Module.

Like the recent spate of upgrades and special editions, the Cayenne limited platinum edition also speaks of no mechanical changes. It is powered by the same 3.6-litre, petrol engine, powering up to 295 bhp at 6300 rpm and 400 Nm or torque output at 3000 rpm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is the 3.0-litre engine that makes 241 bhp at 3800 to 4400 rpm and 550 Nm of torque at 1750 to 2750 rpm. Both the engines get mated to an impressive 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.

The colors of the limited platinum edition Cayenne are non-metallic black and white; and the metallic colors are the jet black metallic, Carrera white, purpurite, rhodium silver, mahogany, etc. all colors metallic.
