Shampa Maitra named branch head, Percept/H, Mumbai

Prior to this, Maitra was executive vice-president (EVP) at Leo Burnett.

Shampa Maitra has been appointed as the branch head for Percept/H, Mumbai. In her new role, Maitra will spearhead the new business development and help create a growth map for the agency's Mumbai market. In addition to this, she will also work towards bringing in the best practices and raise the overall agency benchmark, says the company in a press release.

It is to be noted that Maitra joined Percept One in March this year with the dual mandate of taking forward the Percept One philosophy and benchmark across divisions, which is a portfolio she continues to handle. Prior to this, she was executive vice-president (EVP) at Leo Burnett.

Maitra comes with over 20 years of experience in the marketing and communication industry. With a Master's degree in English Literature from Kolkata University, Maitra has worked with leading global organisations such as Bates India, Rediffusion, McCann Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather and Leo Burnett.

She has handled clients across multiple domains like wellness, personal care, food and beverage, retail, financial services, corporate and media, telecom, education and entertainment with brands ranging from Ponds, L'Oreal, Saffola, to ITC's Gold Flake and Corpstan, Radio Mirchi and Tata Steel.

Percept/H is a 50:50 joint venture between Percept and Hakuhodo Inc. Percept/H is the flagship agency of Percept One with branches across Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Chennai. Its client roster includes FedEx, Tresmode, IOCL, Toyota, Canon, Panchshil Realty and Force Motors, Delhi
