The campaign is aimed at discovering and recognising India's emerging blogging, vlogging and micro-blogging talent.
Blogmint, India's first automated marketplace that connects brands with bloggers, has launched a campaign titled #BloggerDreamTeam, with Harsha Bhogle, renowned cricket expert and sports evangelist.
Timed to resonate with the prevalent World Cup fever, this campaign provides bloggers with a platform on which they can air their opinions about the game, be it about the fashion statements made by today's cricketers or the impact of technology on the game.
Bhogle says, in a press note, "The internet and social media have thrown up opportunities like never before and have allowed skill to meet opportunity. Blogmint is the perfect platform to empower bloggers and showcase these skills."
'Influencer marketing', he adds, is no longer the realm of Bollywood personalities alone. Today, sports celebrity endorsement is now being increasingly driven by 'Social Influencers'. These include "celebrity bloggers, YouTubers and Twitteraties."
"However, there aren't any platforms in India, which connect these celebrities with brands in an automated and transparent fashion," he says.
This effort, he says, "is an excellent opportunity for bloggers to express their opinions on the on-going World Cup and, at the same time, showcase the versatility of their writing talent by combining cricket with other themes such as food, technology, lifestyle, etc."
