Started on April 14, the idea behind the initiative is to rehabilitate acid attack survivors and help them build a new life. Bollywood actor John Abraham is the face of this CSR campaign.

The initiative started with helping Tarana, an acid attack survivor from Agra, to start a new life. Tarana is 20 years old and was attacked by her neighbour, whom she refused to marry.

Fortis has joined Fever Voice of Change as healthcare partner and is providing all the surgical assistance that will be required to treat Tarana's case.

The campaign will help more acid attack survivors with medical assistance. It aims to garner support from listeners to help these survivors come into the mainstream of society. As per their skill set and interest, Fever Voice of Change will help them with education, jobs, entrepreneur programmes, and special counselling sessions.

Commenting on the initiative, Harshad Jain, business head, radio and entertainment, HT Media, says, "The first initiative under Fever Voice of Change, Men against Verbal Abuse, garnered huge support from the listeners. We received lakhs of missed calls in support of the campaign. In our second initiative, with the help of our partner Fortis Healthcare, we are trying to help some acid attack survivors get a new life with the help of surgeries and other basic needs."

Tarana, the acid attack survivor, says, "I was the most beautiful girl in my family and today I am scared to look at my own reflection in the mirror. At times, I cannot believe that this actually happened to me at such a young age. I feel low in confidence when I look at other girls; in fact even going out of the house and studying is difficult at times. But I would like to tell all other acid attack survivors that the society will always look at us with doubt, but it is for us to maintain our confidence and pride. I am thankful to Fever 104 FM and John Abraham for giving me a chance to rebuild my confidence and opportunity to live like any other normal girl. I am looking forward to this transformation and aspire to study further, travel the world and help my family in whatever way I can."

Fever Voice of Change has partnered with NGO Stop Acid Attack to create awareness about acid attacks and its isolated survivors, and push towards bringing people together against this brutal crime.

Fever Voice of Change is a CSR initiative launched by Fever 104 FM in March this year and urges listeners to be a part of the change they wish to see in society. The campaign solicits responses from citizens on the issues that plague society. The key messaging revolves around 'Ab Bakwaas Band. Badlaav Shuru'.
