Kathmandu, June 2

Three Star, Anmol Jyoti, Ritz Model and Siddhi Mangal registered victories in the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Football Tournament here at the Sano Gaucharan grounds today.

In the first match of the day, Three Star Academy thrashed Bhim Higher Secondary School 4-0 riding on a brace from Om Prakash Magar, while Rajan Lama and Bikash Chaudhary scored a goal apiece. Magar provided lead to Three Star in the 22nd minute and doubled the tally in the 26th minute. Lama extended the lead for Three Star with a goal in the injury time of the first half. Chaudhary added mercy for Bhim with a goal in 69th minute.

In another match, Anmol Jyoti School registered a 2-0 victory over Lali Gurans Bidhya Kunja. Som Kumar Shrestha provided lead to Anmol in the 52nd

minute, while Sagar Tamang killed the match for Lali Gurans with a goal in the 69th minute.

Likewise, Ritz Model School edged past Gyan Jyoti Academy 4-3 in a competitive match. Abhinash Tamang gave lead to Ritz in the eighth minute, while Sanjeev Ale Magar equalised with a goal in the 14th minute. Sujan Bhattarai scored in the 29th and Tamang added one more in the 32nd minute to extend the lead by two goals for Ritz. Roshan Kumar Rana scored for Gyan Jyoti in the 42nd minute to cut Ritz’s lead. Aasish Dura scored in the 53rd minute to extend the lead for Ritz. Sajan Nagarkoti Shrestha scored for Gyan Jyoti in the 59th minute but failed to save the team from defeat.

In the last match of the day, Siddhi Mangal Higher Secondary School came from behind to beat Niketan School 4-3.
