RAUTAHAT: A pedestrian was killed when a motorcycle hit him at Sisawa Chok along the Gaur-Chandranigahapur road section in Rautahat district on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as local Sekh Juman (55) of Gaur Municipality-11 in the district.

According to District Police Office, an Indian motorcycle (BR 05 S 5616) heading for Jigadiya from Gaur had hit Juman, inflicting injuries at about 5 this afternoon.

The critically injured was rushed to the City Hospital in Gaur-8, but he breathed his last at around 5:30 pm, Deputy Superintendent of Police Nabin Krishna Bhandari informed.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the two-wheeler and detained its rider, identified as Sekh Imran of Jigadiya-9 in the district.
