LAHAN: A teenager died after falling off a tractor of Siraha district along the East-West Highway on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as 13-year old Suraj Mandal of Dhangadhi VDC-1 in Saptari, police informed.

DSP Raj Kumar KC of the Lahan Area Police Office said Mandal, a student of Gyan Jyoti Paathshala, was on his way to Balan stream in order to immerse an idol of Goddess Saraswati when he fell off the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 2687).

Mandal's friend was also on board the tractor.

His body has been sent to the Ram Prasad Uma Memorial Hospital for postmortem.
