JAJARKOT: A worker involved in the construction of an access road to the Nalsingadh Hydro Power Project died after being crushed by a boulder that fell over him from a hillside.

The deceased has been identified as Ananta Kami (27) of Ghetma VDC of Rukum, police said.

Police added that the boulder fell while a rock-blasting was taking place at Gedeni Cliff in Lanhan VDC of Jajarkot. The fall had injured him critically.

The injured youth was being rushed to the Jajarkot District Hospital when he succumbed to injuries on the way, the Jajarkot District Police Office said.
