Buddha plans more flights to Janakpur

KATHMANDU: Buddha Air has announced it will use ‘ATR-72’ aircraft in Kathmandu-Janakpur route in the near future after necessary upgradation of the Janakpur Airport to accommodate takeoff and landing of larger planes.

The airline is currently using ‘ATR-42’ aircraft for single daily flights on the route. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has informed that works related to necessary upgradation of the airport will be completed soon, as per a media release issued by the airlines otn Thursday.

According to Buddha Air, it will issue a limited number of low fare tickets to  passengers flying on the Kathmandu-Janakpur sector after the new aircraft

commences operation and new flights are added along the route. The price of such low airfare tickets will begin from Rs 2,000.
