Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today to discuss several issues, including the political situation in the state.

At the meeting, will be a certain gentleman called, Manickam, who will be the interpreter. Manickam is believed to be Palaniswami's wife's sister's husband.

Manickam will be the only other person present at the meeting between the two leaders.

AIADMK MPs have been wondering why they have been left out of the meeting. Does it mean what transpires at the meeting is confidential? Does it mean the conversation may steer away from politics? These may be simply speculations, but the fact remains that senior party leader M Thambidurai has been kept away from the meeting.

AIADMK MPs have also been speculating whether it means that EPS wants to establish a hotline with the PM. Only time will tell.
