Passport colours can't change ties, says PM at the Hague

PM Modi on a day-long visit to the Netherland, the last leg of his three-nation tour addresses the Indian disaspora at the Sportcampus Zuiderpark at The Hague.

"I am here in the land which is home to Europe's second largest Indian diaspora, PM Modi says, adding, "It is very important to stay connected to our roots; it gives us immense strength. Blood relations don't change with the change in colour of the passport."

Earlier, PM Modi met his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte where he said that the Netherlands is a natural partner in Indias economic development and thanked the key European nation for backing Indias Missile Technology Control Regime membership.
