Man drives car into pedestrians in Amsterdam, cops rule out terror attack

At least eight people were injured after a car ploughed into pedestrians outside Amsterdam Central train station.  

The incident took place around 9 pm local time on Saturday, reported The Independent, London. 

As per the reports, the driver was parked in an unauthorised place and drove off when approached by the officers. The driver later drove into pedestrians and then into a wall, before being arrested. 

Two of the wounded people were rushed to hospital and three others with minor injuries were treated on the spot. 

Meanwhile, the local Amsterdam police have said there's 'no indication whatsoever' that the incident was extremist-related, reports The Telegraph, UK.
