Santa Sheela Nair, principal advisor to Tamil Nadu CM, quits

Santa Sheela Nair, principal advisor to the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, resigned today. This is second senior official to quit the CMs office.

Advisor to the state government, Sheela Balakrishnan, a veteran civil servant who was seen as running the administrative machinery even after she had quit as chief secretary, quit in a huff on Friday.

Speculation is rife that the officials quitting owed their allegiance to Jayalalithaa and do not wish to serve under Sasikala, who is set to take the reins of the Tamil Nadu governance.
