Punjab Speaker's obit for MP Vinod Khanna names Rajesh Khanna instead

In an embarrassing gaffe for the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker, a press release condoling Vinod Khanna's death on Thursday, named Rajesh Khanna in its opening line instead.

The picture of the alleged press release was shared on Twitter by a journalist named Man Aman Chhina, who claimed that the Punjab PR department copy pasted the press release of Rajesh Khanna for Vinod Khanna. As pointed out by Chhina, while the headline did mention Vinod Khanna, it was in the introduction where the error was made.

Vinod Khanna, 70, who was serving as a Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur constituency, passed away at 11:20 am on Thursday owing to cancer.

The actor is survived by wife Kavita Khanna and his four children, Rahul Khanna, Akshaye Khanna, Sakshi Khanna and Shraddha Khanna.
