Unidentified gunmen kill two soldiers in Pak

At least two Pakistani soldiers were killed today after four bike-borne unidentified gunmen attacked their vehicle in one of the busiest commercial areas in the country's largest city.


According to initial details, four gunmen on two motorcycles opened fire on a military vehicle near the Parking plaza in Saddar close to the congested Empress market area.


Karachi police chief Mushtaq Mahar told reporters that the two security personnel were badly wounded in the firing and rushed to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.


Mahar said that four men on two motorcycles had intercepted the vehicle as it slowed down to take a sharp turn. Television channels reported that the attack left the driver of the vehicle seriously wounded who lost control of the vehicle which hit a wall. The gunmen managed to flee from the scene.
