CBI moves SC to arrest Himachal CM in corruption case

The CBI today moved the Supreme Court challenging the Himachal Pradesh High Court order restraining it from interrogating Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh in an alleged corruption case. In effect, the CBI moved the SC to arrest Virbhadra Singh in the disproportionate assets case.


An apex court bench headed by Chief Justice HL Dattu said that they would hear the plea by the investigating agency on the opening day after the Dusshera holidays. The case will heard on October 26.
