Posthumous Bharat Ratna for Madan Mohan Malaviya

Apart from Vajpayee, the late Madan Mohan Malaviya, educationist and freedom fighter, will also be conferred the Bharat Ratna.

The announcement from Rashtrapati Bhavan was made ahead of Vajpayees birthday in December, last year, and the 153rd birth anniversary of Malaviya.
