#SelfieWithDaughter was trending worldwide with parents tweeting pictures soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about it in his Mann ki Baat radio address on Sunday.

But it was not appreciated by all. Activist Kavita Krishnan in a tweet accused the PM of 'stalking daughters', and there was another post that brought back memories of the 2002 Gujarat riots.

Daughter of Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, who was brutally murdered by a violent Hindu mob on 28 February, 2002, shared a picture on Facebook. Nishrin Jafri Hussain shared a photo with her father.

In her post, she said, "SelfieWithDaughter: This one will haunt him for ever."

Ehsan Jafri's wife Zakia had Modi, who was the chief minister of Gujarat during the riots, for being complicit in the violence.  However, the SIT probe gave a clean chit to Modi.
