President Pranab Mukherjee who is in Hyderabad for a 10-day southern sojourn was in for a nasty surprise when a four-foot cobra was found roaming the grounds of the Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad. The Rashtrapati Nilayam is one of the Presidential retreats in the country.


A snake charmer was summoned and the snake, which was coiled near a tree, was caught.

The Rashtrapati Nilayam is located in a forest and it is common practice to employ snake charmers when VVIPs are resident here. Security agencies are worried about how the president will spend the next 10 days here if reptilian visits are rampant.
