J&K Dy CM calls Srinagar clashes 'minor incident'

"These are minor incidents, have been happening since 1947," Nirmal Singh, Jammu & Kashmir Deputy CM, said about the clashes in Srinagar.

Clashes between police and protesters broke out today in the Tral protest area in Srinagar.

After incidents of stone pelting by protesters, police has been firing tear gas shells on protesters in an effort to deter them from moving further.

Separatist leader Masarat Alam was arrested this morning in connection with the raising of Pakistani flags during a rally in Srinagar.
