Sena refuses to confirm end of alliance with BJP

Senior Shiv Sena leader and former opposition leader in the legislative assembly Ramdas Kadam refused to confirm or deny if the 25-year-old Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party alliance iin Maharashtra is over or still intact.

Speaking with Rediff.com's Prasanna Zore, Kadam said that senior leaders are waiting for Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, who is on his annual pilgrimage to Tuljapur Bhavani Temple in Osmanabad district, to return to Mumbai before any official announcement is made.

Thackeray is expected to be in Mumbai late in the evening.

Meanwhile, BJP national president Amit Shah is also in Mumbai to attend a cultural event organised by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, a RSS-backed Charitable Trust.
