UP rapes: Akhikesh govt sacks principal secretary home

The Uttar Pradesh government today sacked principal secretary home Anil Gupta in wake of the increasing number of rape cases in the state over the past week.

Th Akhilesh Yadav-led UP government has received severe criticism for the deteriorating law and order in the state. Six cases of rape have been reported in the past seven days.
