Ceasefire violation by Pakistan

As India remembers its martyrs on the 15th anniversary of the Kargil War, Pakistan opened fire in the Pallanwala area of Ankhoor sector in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second ceasefire violation in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday, the Pakistan army violated the bilateral ceasefire in the Poonch district of Jammu.

A defence spokesman in a statement said, "Pakistan troops violated ceasefire on evening July 25 and continued to fire on own posts in Mendhar sector. The enemy posts used small arms against own posts from 4.50 p.m to 5.30 p.m."
