Army Chief visits Line of Control

General Dalbir Singh, Chief of the Army Staff, being briefed on the situation along the Line of Control.

His visit comes after an increase in militant activity in and around LOC during the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls.

An IED exploded in the Gambhir area on Monday morning after which the security forces cordoned off the area. On Saturday last week, militants had carried out a similar attack by detonating an IED in Krishnagati belt of Poonch.
