WHAT'S THE CASE

It was alleged that the accused persons entered into a criminal conspiracy with each other for cheating, forgery and impersonation in PMT-2008, PMT-2009 and PMT-2011 conducted by Vyapam and thereby, they managed admission of 29 candidates in MBBS at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur.

The investigation revealed that the candidate took the assistance of one impersonator in the written examination of PMT-2009 with the help of middleman. After intensive efforts, the middle man, who was absconding since the registration of FIR, was arrested in May, 2016 at Kanpur by the CBI and presently he is in judicial custody.

The accused middleman was allegedly keeping the ill-gotten cash in the bank account of his brother. The expert opinion of CFSL on handwriting/signature on the OMR answer sheet had proved that the candidate did not appear in the examination and the unidentified impersonator appeared on his behalf in the said examination.
