Vikram Goud, the son of Congress leader and former minister Mukhesh Goud, was shot thrice this morning at Gayatri Hills, Hyderabad.

Former Minister Mukesh Goud's son, Vikram Goud, was attacked early this morning by unidentified individuals at his residence in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills.

Vikram was shot at around 3:30, and his right shoulder and spinal cord were injured, police said. He suffered at least two bullet injuries.

Hearing the gunshots, Vikram's family rushed to the spot, where they found him lying in a pool of blood. He was immediately taken to Jubilee Hills Apollo Hospital. Doctors later said that he was out of danger.

Clues team visited Vikram's residence in Gayatri Hills near Hafeez Baba Nagar.

Before Telangana became a seperate state, Mukesh Goud served Andhra Pradesh as BC Welfare Minister and looked after other portfolios during YS Rajasekhar Reddy's tenure as chief minister.

Mukesh and Vikram Goud had been involved in criminal cases. Vikram has also been active in politics and contested the Hyderabad local body election.
