Venkaiah Naidu loves coining acronyms, beats competition with one on APJ Abdul Kalam

If there is one person who can possibly beat even Prime Minister Narendra Modi in coining acronyms, it has to be former Union minister and now vice-presidential candidate M Venkaiah Naidu.

Venkaiah Naidu today spoke at the inauguration of a memorial for former president APJ Abdul Kalam near Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. Expanding on the former president's initials (APJAK), Naidu gave it his own spin and said APJ Abdul Kalam stands for 'Anything is Possible with Just Attitude and Karma'.

The memorial of APJ Abdul Kalam was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who said that the missile man inspired the country's youth who want to become "job creators".

MODI: Maker of Developed India

In an interview to India Today in November last year, Venkaiah Naidu said Modi is 'Maker of Developed India'.

Reacting to Sonia Gandhi saying that there cannot be any comparisons between Narendra Modi and Indira Gandhi, Naidu said that indeed there cannot be comparisons between the two leaders, and said Modi is MODI--Maker of Developed India.

On earlier occasions, Venkaiah Naidu said that MODI is 'Making of Developed India', and 'Modifier of Developing India'.

EVM: Every Vote Modi

Venkaiah Naidu came up with this acronym while taking a dig at those who, he said, blame EVMs for their electoral defeat in the Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh. Naidu said that for such people EVM stands for 'Every Vote Modi'.

CITY: Civic Infrastructure To You

While speaking at the India Today Conclave 2017 in Mumbai, then Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Venkaiah Naidu said that CITY stands for 'Civic Infrastructure To You'.

YOUNG: You Owe U and Nation Greatness

This acronym was coined when Venkaiah Naidu was addressing youngsters at a conclave at Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi in February this year. He said YOUNG stands for 'You Owe U and Nation Greatness'.

APJ Abdul Kalam: Anything is Possible with Just Attitude and Karma

Venkaiah Naidu today bettered his record by coming up with an acronym for former president APJ Abdul Kalam, who is hailed as India's Missile Man.
