Responding to a question from journalists about upcoming national elections in Bangladesh, the Indian High Commissioner said, "It is an internal matter of Bangladesh. I do not agree to comment on this issue."

Sringla said, "We have talked about the cooperation of the government of the two countries in our meeting." Besides, I would like to remind Prime Minister Modi's commitment to the Teesta deal during the tenure of the two Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh. It is to say that, as soon as possible on our part, it will be done."

"After the terrorist incident in July, we did not tell you like that - you have to do it, you have to do that. We have talked to our Prime Minister, what do you need after the terrorist incident? Commando training, special equipment, surveillance equipment, tell us, India will stand by your side in the same way," said Sringla.
