A possible security threat from the Maoists in Telangana has proved to be a windfall for the state cabinet. Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has sanctioned bullet-proof cars for his 11 cabinet colleagues who are expected to travel across districts. Each of them will get a Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs 54 lakh. The state will also get a pool of 70 such VVIP vehicles. The cost to the exchequer: Rs 27.93 crore.
