Black box of IAF's Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet that went missing in Assam's Tezpur on May 26 was recovered today by search team.

The black box was recovered by the search party from the crash site, further search operation is underway.

The aircraft with two pilots on board was found in a dense forest near Tezpur on May 26 three days after it went missing.

The Indian Air Force had ordered a court of inquiry into the crash, hours after the debris of the fighter plane was sighted in an area 60 km from Tezpur airbase with which it lost radar and radio contact on May 23.

The Su-30 MKI jet had gone missing shortly after taking off from Tezpur Air Force station on a routine training sortie.
