Shirdi Sai Sansthan will soon install biometric system at Sai Temple in Shirdi to smoothen the darshan que where devotees have to wait for hours. This will enable the devotees to have darshan of Sai Baba in just 3 seconds.

With the help of biometric system, the Sai Sansthan Trust will also issue time slots to devotees so that unwanted crowds do not gather at the temple premises.

"This biometric system will help us to handle the crowd easily and devotees would also get darshan of Sai Baba easily," said Suresh Haware, President Sai Sansthan Trust Shirdi.

PROCESS FOR DARSHAN

Once a devotee arrives at Shirdi, he or she has to be registered in the system to give biomatric data like thumb impression and finger prints. Then devotees would be given time slot for darshan.

Considering the huge number of devotees turning up every year, the Sai Sansthan Shirdi is also planning to increase the bed capacity of local hospital from 500 to 1000. Many times the local hospitals have faced nursing staff crisis, so keeping this point in mind the Sai Sansthan Trust will start a nursing hospital in Shirdi. The trust also wants to start a knowledge hub where people from different parts of country and world can come and do research.

Sai Sansthan Trust expects the biometric system to start within the next two months while for the first few weeks, they will run it as a pilot project.
