Russian delegation meets Raje, show interest in investing in Rajasthan

The Russian delegation met Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to discuss investment in the field of mines and minerals.

A Russian delegation headed by Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation met Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today to discuss collaboration in mining and agriculture.

Manturov led a high-level delegation comprising of senior government officials from Moscow, Tula region, the Khabarovsk territory, the Sverdlovsk region, and representative of Business Russia. The visit follows Raje's participation in the international industrial trade fair 'INNOPROM 2016', held in Russia earlier this year.

"With increasing economic growth, the infrastructure requirements in Rajasthan are growing and Russia can help address this need. Russia can complement Rajasthan's efforts in strengthening the state's engineering industry, specifically in automotive, mines and minerals," said the chief minister.

RUSSIAN COMPANIES INVITED

Earlier in the day, the Russian business delegation attended the Russia-Rajasthan Business Forum event organised by government of Rajasthan and Confederation of Indian industry (CII) where Rajasthan Industries Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar too was present. Khimsar said, "We have robust opportunities for partnership in the field of defence, energy, science and technology and other areas. I take this opportunity to invite companies from Russia to partner with us in 'Make in Rajasthan' initiative of our able chief minister and establish manufacturing facilities in Rajasthan."

The Russian delegation also visited the Mahindra World City. It hosts around 65 Indian and global companies spread over 4,600 acres in Jaipur.
