Ravi Shankar Prasad gets his department to release a stamp

Union Minister of Communications and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad got his department to release a stamp to commemorate Sri Lankan saint Srimath Anagarika Dharmapala. This was to reciprocate Lanka's release of a Swami Vivekananda stamp last year.The stamp release event on October 25 by President Pranab Mukherjee meant Prasad not only missed the post-Diwali Chitragupta Puja celebrations in Patna but also missed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's media interaction at the BJP headquarters. Prasad rushed from Rashtrapati Bhavan to the party headquarters only to find that the Prime Minister had left the venue.
