Judge Rajendra Kumar Sharma called the family's failure to install a toilet cruel, and a social blot.
A Rajasthan family court has granted divorce to a woman who complained that her husband and in-laws failed to get a toilet built despite her repeated pleas, forcing her to live with her parents.
Judge Rajendra Kumar Sharma called the family's failure to install a toilet cruel, and a social blot.
But the lack of a restroom wasn't the only thing the woman, who's in her twenties, complained about.
She also said she and her husband didn't have their own room, and that her spouse was cruel to her.
Married in 2011, the woman had filed for divorce in 2015.
