Love, Guns and Dhoka: Rajasthan man murders girlfriend's ex-lover, threatens cops to treat her well in prison

It was a tale of love, deceit and gun. The game of love took a dangerous turn in Rajasthan after a man began threatening the police over the arrest of his girlfriend.

Indubala (23) was arrested by the police in connection with a murder of a man identified as Vinod Beniwal, a resident of Raniya in Rajasthan.

Deepak Malik, 24, an engineering graduate is wanted by the police in connection with the murder of Beniwal.

Police said that Indubala is complicit in the case is under arrest since August 8. Ever since the arrest of the woman, Malik has been posting threatening messages on Facebook.

Malik in one of his Facebook posts threatened about three constables who allegedly misbehaved with Indubala that they will face severe consequences.

On July 31, Vinod Beniwal was found dead near Netewala Bypass of Sri Ganganagar town of Rajasthan. Beniwal was shot and later mowed down by a car to make it look like an accident.

The police had termed the case as a 'blind murder' as the severely maimed body of Beniwal made it difficult to find clues. However, circumstances of the murder gradually directed the cops to Indubala and Malik.

Police said that Beniwal was the former lover of Indubala. In order to get rid of him, both Indubala and Malik decided to murder him. Indubala had called Beniwal to her residence and offered him a spiked drink.

Her boyfriend Malik then reportedly shot him and Indubala ran her car over his dead body to mutilate it.

ACCUSED UNTRACEABLE

While Malik has been audaciously threatening the police via social media, the police are yet to trace him.

Police said that Malik they are working towards tracing his location, however, his last post was on August 10. Malik has gone incommunicado ever since.

According to the police, Malik has been posting the updates from various locations including NCR, Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut.

Malik is an engineering graduate and the police suspects that he is using his software skills to cloud his location and evade arrest.

Rajasthan Police has begun an extensive manhunt to trace Malik and has also began search operations in neighboring states.

"We are working towards nabbing Malik. We have began search operations in Noida, Ghaziabad and Uttar Pradesh," said Sriganganagar ASP Surendra Chaudhary.

CRIMINAL INSTINCTS

Much to the shock of the police, both Indubala and Deepak seem to have explicitly displayed their affinity for firearms.

Both of them have shared their gun-toting images on Facebook.

Police officials said that Malik has also been tracking the movement of the police.
