The Congress tried to flex its muscles through a show of strength on the sidelines of Rahul Gandhi's visit to Marathwada.

Rahul questioned the state govt's loan waiver in his speech in Nanded.

"It was because of the pressure by our party that the Maharashtra govt announced loan waiver. But, the state govt is asking irrelevant questions to farmers. Why are they asking for farmers' caste for loan waiver?" Rahul questioned.

Rahul then met farmers at Erandeshwar village in Purna Yeshil of Parbhani district. Farmers spoke to Rahul about the difficulties they are facing in applying for loan waiver.

Though, Rahul met farmers, his attention in the entire tour was on attacking the Centre and its policy, the pain of Marathwada farmers hardly featured in his speech.

Rahul has earlier visited farmers of Vidarbha. His visit, then, was followed by a great debate on farmers loan waiver and package, but as Marathwada is slowly replacing Vidarbha as the next suicide capital, this visit of Rahul Gandhi appeared mere political.

While addressing a farmers rally in Parbhani, Rahul said, "Govt claimed that 99% black money came back. All the black money of thieves was made white. Who will answer for people who died in queues and about fallen GDP?"

"This Modi and RSS's only work is to spread hatred. They divide people on the lines of religion and caste," Rahul alleged.
