Delhi: Hang our son-in-law to death, says family of Priya Mehra who was shot dead by her husband

In the sensational murder case of Priya Mehra , the deceased's family has demanded death for her husband Pankaj Mehra, who has confessed to have shot her dead.

On Saturday, Priya's family held a press conference in which they demanded that Pankaj should be hanged till death and the case should be fast-tracked.

Harish Manghani, Priya's uncle, told the media that both Priya and Pankaj were dating each other since college time and they never thought that something of such nature can take place ever. According to family, the relationship between both got bitter when Pankaj started affair with a singer at his restaurant.

Priya was shot dead in front of her 2-year-old son by her husband Pankaj Mehra.

Meanwhile,Pankaj Mehra was on Friday sent to three-day police custody by a Delhi court.

A magisterial court in Rohini in northwest Delhi granted the Delhi Police the custody of Pankaj Mehra, 35, till October 30, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Milind Dumbere said.

Initially, Pankaj had told the police that while he was travelling with his wife and son in car, they were accosted by bike-borne assailants who overtook their car and later rained bullets on them with an intention of murdering Pankaj. However, on Thursday, Pankaj admitted before the police that he killed his wife and later cooked up the story of assailants attacking them.
