BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy said that Section 19 of POSCO Act which states that even the judges who hear about a child being molested in divorce cases is duty bound to report the matter to police could be misused against judges and need to be repealed.

"Provisions in the Section provide that even the judges who hear about a child being molested in divorce cases is duty bound to report the matter to police. In case, he or she fails to do so then they are liable for legal action. This section could be misused to put pressure on judges and hence it should be repealed," Swamy said.
