According to Santacruz Police officials, the builder was in constant touch with these men who promised to change Rs 500 Rs 1000 currency notes in a well known bank on Santacruz road in Mumbai. The Builder agreed with the men on the terms ut insisted that he would send his own man aong with them. On Wednesday, the five people who made the promise stopped their SUV near the plush hotel at Santacruz (West) and asked builder's man to move forward. They told Builder's man to go ahead and that they would follow him with the bags so that no one suspects what's going on. The Builder's man went forward and waited for a long time but there was no sign of the men.

After sometime, he realized that something was wrong and went back to the same spot where he left the money. He found no one at the spot. He contacted his employer and narrated about the entire incident. An FIR was filed against five people under section of 420 (Cheating ) and 34 (Common Intention).
