India Today impact: NIA files FIR to probe Lashkar-Hurriyat links

After an India Today sting operation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered FIR into the funding of Hurriyat leaders by Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and other Pakistan-based terrorists to carry out subversive activities in Kashmir including stone pelting on security forces.

The FIR says credible information has been received by the central government that Hafiz Saeed Amir of the Hurriyat Conference has been acting in connivance with LeT and other terror organisations, raising and receiving money through various illegal and hawala channels for funding separatists and terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

The NIA will probe Lashkar-Hurriyat links.

Sources tell India Today that Asiya Andrabi has a team of women ring leaders who mislead young school and college women. These women are seen mixing and influencing girl students.

NIA believes these ring leaders are paid money to get women to pelt stones. The girls are at the front, while the women in burqa are behind.

India Today had aired evidence of Pakistan's state and non-state actors, including 26/11 attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, choreographing anarchy through their agents in the Kashmir Valley.

In the report 'Operation Villains of Valley' a number of top Kashmiri separatists admitted on camera that they received funds from Pakistan.

The investigation on Hurriyat tapes had even prompted the NIA to take action.
