Natwar Singh of Congress and JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav may be on opposite side of the political fence, but they spoke in one voice when it came to the national security adviser's (NSA) role. At the launch of Mission R&AW,a book written by former officer R.K. Yadav, Singh said that Britain,Japan, China and France had no NSAs and that he had advised Manmohan Singh to abolish the office. Sharad Yadav seemed to concur when he said the NSA's office was a power centre headed by domineering bureaucrats.
