Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray, Fadnavis share stage on 5th death anniversary of Balasaheb Thackeray
Uddhav Thackeray and Devendra Fadnavis shared stage in Mumbai on the occasion of Balasaheb Thackeray's 5th death anniversary. Fadnavis was seen cracking jokes which failed to humour Uddhav Thackeray.

Today, Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra CM Fadnavis shared a dais in Mumbai on the occasion of 5thd death anniversary of Shiv Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray.
But disagreement between them was clearly evident from their body language.
HERE IS A REPORT
All is certainly not well between Shiv Sena and BJP since the State Assembly election 2014.
Last year's BMC election added fuel to the fire between these two where both the parties contested separately and Sena won with a very slight margin.
Today, when both these leaders came face to face for inauguration of a website of Balasaheb Thackeray Memorial, it was quite evident from their body language that they still have a strained relation.
It was a well known fact that Fadnavis and Uddhav shared a very good relation but in today's function, Uddhav Thackeray's face reflected the entire story that how upset he is with Fadnavis.
Though Fadnavis made an attempt to neutralise the atmosphere on the stage by cracking some jokes but Uddhav gave a very cold response and tried to avoid Fadnavis.
It shows Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray is not happy with BJP and Fadnavis government. Reason behind this is very clear; BJP ministers are not clearing the files quickly and developmental work in Sena MLA's constituencies is not happening at the desired pace.
On December 7, there is by-election for state legislative council.
Narayan Rane who had left the Congress recently and floated his own party wants to contest in this election as he had already given his support to the BJP.
To win the election, Rane wants 145 votes but as of now BJP has gotten only 135 votes.
Shiv Sena is quite upset with Fadnavis as he wants to induct Rane in his cabinet where Sena already has ministers. Shiv Sena never wanted to see Narayan Rane sitting in the same cabinet with them.
During the general election of 2014 no one could have imagined this scene where Uddhav and Fadnavis are not talking to each other. And that to while sharing the same dais, it shows that the distance between these two old friends have increased over a period of time.
The Shiv Sena and BJP are sharing power in state as well as the Center but all doesn't look well between them.
Fadnavis also knows that if Shiv Sena remains upset for a long time then they may join anti-BJP camp during the 2019 elections which BJP really doesn't want.
Now it would be interesting to see how Fadnavis tackles this issue and keeps Shiv Sena within NDA.
